Arlington

Alli got the girls a Tastes of the World subscription box for Christmas. Our first box was from Turkey, and it had a lot of interesting flavors. Adi did several fun taste tests where she cut everything up so everyone got a little bite. It was perfect because no one wanted a whole bag of chips or odd cookie bar, but one bite was fun.

Cuddles with one of my fav boys

Amy, Delaney, max, and I left around 11 to pick sandy up from Reagan. We grabbed food and then went to our hotel in Arlington to meet up with the baby nap crew. While we waited, these besties tested out the beds. It’s so funny that max is 2 years younger than Delaney. 😂

I hope they’re always good buddies.

Matt drove the rest of our crew up in the jolly green and when they got there I showed Emmi the city from our 6th floor room.

Car-car is not one to be left out. And I love his funny insurance salesman hair. Cade really wants to cut it, but Lexi loves it, and I do too!

We were about a mile from Arlington national cemetery, so we loaded up the stroller and walked over.

It was such a beautiful few days!

We met a nice older missionary couple touring with their family from Idaho and they took some pictures for us.

We haven’t been to DC in so long and it was so fun to be there with our fun crew.

We’d walk in clumps and chat with whatever group we ended up with, it was great. We walked around and saw the eternal flame and stayed until they closed.

We stopped by the cutest little Target by our hotel and then picked up a taco feast. We ate in the empty hotel coffee area and then put babies to bed in their room, let the kids watch a movie in our room, and played some games in Amy and Sandy’s room. We played heads up, linkee, and then skull king. LOOK AT THIS crazy hand I got!!! Alexis played her skull king in one of the first two rounds, so I was able to win the last 4 rounds with my pirates. It was amazing.

The night came to an abrupt end when Emmett woke up crying. Lu brought him into the game room and he was kind of writhing in pain. Matt and I went across the street to the Safeway and got him some Tylenol while Amy got the kids situated for bed. Poor Emmi didn’t sleep at all that night, which meant that no one in their room did. And since they were right next to our room, we heard them for several hours too. Poor baby and mommy and daddy!
