this little freshman is such a little man. although not that little anymore, especially since he's taller than me now. he's started up baseball again and on his first night made an inning ending awesome catch in center field. oh, and he's center field cause he's so fast, fyi. modesty is not always his strong suit.
he's still very athletic and enjoys playing basketball with da' neighborhood balla's.
his sports are still baseball and basketball. he thought he might try football but decided against it. then he decided he'd try, then he decided he wouldn't... in the end he decided to try next year.
we shall see.
he's a good brother. delaney has finally won him over. he likes to play hard to get with the babies for a few months, but he really loves his sisters (all of them) even though he gives them a hard time a lot.
he's so goofy! he hates to look foolish in front of others but often surprises me with being super silly. he's a cool enough kid that he can totally pull it off. and don'tcha love the st. marys county cut shirt? can i get an u-g-h?
as the lone manchild he does a pretty good job (along with matt) of keeping up with all the manly chores, namely bug killing, jar opening, and any other gross/hard thing we don't want to do. ;)
he's been the official family bug killer since my single days and even though he would sometimes cry because he didn't want to, he's always carried out his duties.
that's ma boy.
we have a good relationship, my little buddy and i. we talk, play catch together, read the same books, go for runs and bike rides, and generally get along. he's a good boy.
*addie's mad instagram skills. she loves the black and whites.
he's generally a good student and does his homework first thing when he gets home.
he makes himself some ramen (sometimes with frozen veggies, sometimes just with hot sauce) and gets on his homework. he's a real thinker, very smart and with a very good memory. he's in several advanced classes and has been bemoaning his homework load a little bit lately. but i think he secretly loves that he's being challenged. he's all the time giving me little factoids that his teachers tell him. "did you know hitler had ibs?," "do you know what insidous means?," "do you know the difference between a class a and class b lab fire?" and then he'll explain it all to me.
i love that he loves learning!
homework time.
he also loves laura. especially when she picks him up for church in a convertible corvette, but you know. he's got a small group of friends that he is fiercely loyal to. and he's still (sad face) a ladies man.
that.boy.
i've always teased him that he's a lover not a fighter, and shoot, was i right.
that's all i'll say about that.
he loves sweets. he's almost always game for making chocolate chip cookie dough to eat (he even brought me a small tupperware full to the hospital after i had delaney:) and loves to finish his night with a big bowl of cookie dough ice cream (do you see a theme here?). he's not always the greatest eater but will listen to reason and eat healthily. and he's given up soda since a certain 2+ hour long dental visit.
he can be very stubborn and when he starts pouting you can expect to be in a pout for awhile. but he's generally pretty even tempered and sweet. he's got a good heart and a good head on his shoulders.
we love our baby boy and just think there's nothing he can't do if he puts his mind to it.
that's our bubba!
