big d

this little girl, let me tell ya.
when i was pregnant i prayed, pleeeeease Heavenly Father, give me an easy baby!
actually i think my exact words were perfect baby.
big d is not perfect, but she's pretty darn close.
*more of addie's mad instagram skills.
she has just fit so nicely into our little family.
she doesn't mind the car.
she lets other people hold her.
she's not tied to a schedule.
she's happily dragged here, there, and everywhere.
*like on friday night when she was my game buddy.
little known fact about lanes,
(unless you've held her, and then you'll know)
she gives the worlds best hugs.
doesn't matter who you are, she puts her little chubby arms around your neck and squeezes tight.
(she also usually takes that opportunity to pull hair, whether it's pony tailed or not, but whateva)
it is super sweet and endearing, it's won a lot of people over to the laney corner.
*and she also thinks beauty bark is delicious.
other foods, not really so much.
she's not much for a bottle (not surprised) or homemade baby food (not surprised again) or store bought baby food (still not surprised). she seems to like table food okay... she's had cheese, goldfish, chicken, yogurt, popcorn, and a few other things that we managed to make tiny and give to her.
*she seems to like her baby cheese puffs.
she loves to play. she's pretty easily entertained too, anything can be a toy.
diapers, pens, straws, whatever you can scrounge out of a purse or car or airplane, anything.
*i am in love with goofy baby pictures, can you tell?
she is so patient with her siblings. she laughs at addie and frankie now. and that's saying something because they have both put her through the ringer, as 4 yo's and 2 yo's will do. and she loves alexis and christian. they'll play with her and then walk away and she just follows them with her eyes, like, hey there, come back! she loves them and they love her and that makes mama so happy.
one thing that doesn't make me happy is how fast she's getting big.
she's doing everything ahead of schedule.
(and that's my schedule i'm talking about, nothing official)
her latest is this... pulling herself up.
and plotting her escape.
she is the smilingest baby! she smiled in the hospital, she smiled when we brought her home, and she's been smiling ever since. sweet, goofy smiles.
she's easy going, sweet, just the right amount of chubby, goofy, kissable, and... i gotta say, Heavenly Father knows what He's doing, because really, this baby is perfect.
we love us some big d!!!

I'm guessing it's not all that hard to get this one to smile. What a lucky baby to have such a wonderful family.
