Heading home

On our last day we packed and cleaned and spent as much time together as possible. Adi and I made up our favorite brekkie.

Car-baby hung out on the dog bed, like we do.

We had a lovely family breakfast of pancakes, bacon, eggs, and fruit.

Then we hung out outside while Amy and the kids did the slip and slide and played in the pool.

Slip and slide plus dish soap = hours of fun.

These two have been trying to hook up for a FaceTime, they miss each other.

The next day it was time to go. Delaney squirt gunned this under their porch.

First stop was the wildest grocery store ever. They had told us we needed to stop at Stew Leonard’s on our way home, and we were not sorry we did. And who doesn’t love Yonkers?

They have dancing trees that sing fun songs about produce.

Ditto Chiquita bananas. We got some delicious chocolate crescents and headed on our merry way.

Then we drove through the city for an hour in search of the little red lighthouse, but they were doing road construction and there was just no way to get to it. Sadness.

Next we met up with auntie Alli at 6 flags.

Emmett loved it!

It’s a fun little place.

I got to ride with Emmett.

Driver Laney gave us a ride.

We only stayed about 2 hours because then it started storming. We had just enough time to get our snack and meal for our meal plan, and then the nice lady even threw in a cotton Candy for free since they were closing. It’s been fun to have our passes where we can just pop in whenever we’re up there.  It was an easy drive with lots of fun broken up throughout.

And then we were home. And Carter is cute.
