More Hershey Park fun

Addie is so cool. She rode so many rides by herself, including this nightmare. There was a group of middle schoolers in front of us, but this brave girl joined this dad and son in their ride car. She’s so confident and amazing.

Licorice trivia show high fives.

These cute character dance party. The characters were really fun.

And anither blast from the past. How can you not take a funny picture with giant sweets?5

We had a reall great time. Overall, I think it was a good value for the money. But there were things that were not great. So a list

Pro’s:
  • Meal plan. We got 2 bbq meals, pizza, burger, chicken tenders, and 2 chipotle style salads, which averages $4.50 per meal. The only other food we bought was the Dippin’ Dots.
  • Preview the night before, such a great bonus.
  • Variety of rides, there’s really something for everyone.
  • Lots of characters running around.
  • Low crowds.
  • Admission to the zoo is a nice perk.
Con’s:

  • Lots of rides were closed down. Like, more than normal. For the most part it wasn’t a big deal, but the Hershey kiss drop tower was one we really wanted to ride and it was closed both days. Also, the log ride was closed till the end of the second day. For heading into peak season, I was surprised.
  • The wait in lines for the food. The bbq place and zoo meal were fast, but other than that, infuriatingly slow, and each place only served about 5 things. It’s probably that they have lots of new employees just learning, but waiting 30+ minutes in a line at a place that serves pizza and a meatball sub seems ridiculous.
  • Even though the meal plan worked, it’s annoying that you can’t take food into the park.
I’d recommend HP and maybe we’ll even go back again before another 10 years goes by.
