mama said there'd be days like this

get your violins out for me please.
 it's been a long week.
hubs has been gone and i have not been on my a-game.
i've been on, like, my g-game.
not good.

but then there are sweet moments like these, you know, when they're napping.
so precious. :)
matt went in late on friday, but he had school work all morning so we were left to our own devices.
like this, cheese stack.
alexis finally started her training at the bee's last night.
she reported that she "walked all around the restaurant and it was not fun."
and christian went to his second to last lifeguard class.
it was business as usual.
i tortured delaney with food.
like i like to do.
at dinner last night
(noodles and leftover ham again)
((told you, g-game))
i also tortured frankie with food.
it seriously took her 2-3 minutes to chew every.single.bite of ham.
oh, this girl.
we passed up a movie night at laura's last night so we could be up and at 'em early today to get to the Solomon's island kite festival (or festibal, if you're addie).
but then this morning frankie threw up, like that phlegmy throw up where they gag and then throw up. i wasn't too worried about it because we've all been sick and i just thought it was her congestion coming out. but then she did it again.
 and again.
 and again.
when i finally got her (and everyone else) fully dressed and she threw up again (and all over her cute outfit), i called laura and told her we couldn't make it.
boo.
i was seriously in need of a mommy time out though, so i talked to lexi and she agreed to watch the girls.
she's got a prom dress to pay off you know. ;)

i ran several wonderful errands that culminated in a small commissary trip.
here's what a one cart trip to the commissary looks like for me.
i usually start carrying things and it becomes a major balancing act.
ah well.
saved 30%, yo!
frankie continued to throw up all afternoon, but she was in the capable hands of this applebees employee, so it was all good.
but seriously, lex was a life saver today.
love her!!!
poor franks.
my orders for lex were "put a towel under her and give her all the juice she wants!"
and back rubbing makes everything better.
this is how i enjoyed conference.
frankie laying on one side, addie and/or delaney on my lap on the other side.
needless to say i didn't get a lot out of today.
thank goodness for the internets.
addie has done a lot of "ark" work and even got all dressed up for conference.
also:
*matt worked his navy gig. tonight he's got to finish a paper. love that hard working guy.
*we've got a certified lifeguard in the hizzouse! he passed the written and physical tests! yay!
*our applebee's hostess went back for round 2 of training. she's probably having to walk all over the restaurant again. the nerve of some people.
*i'm feeling like my morning out has bumped me up to at least my c-game.
look out!
