happy veterans day!

it was indeed!

one of our neighbors had put flags out in all the yards and everything looked so patriotic and americana. it was really beautiful. another neighbor went through the neighborhood and took pictures, so i used one of his off of fb.
it was a divide and conquer kinda day. addie, matt, and the daisy scouts of troop 5060 walked in the veterans day parade. it started off cold but then warmed up so much that she didn't even need a jacket. so cute!
i missed out on going to the parade, because our weird gymnastics gym decided to still hold class. chris and brenna came with us to check out our little gymnasts. i missed the parade, but enjoyed all the pictures the sheriffs dept posted.
after gymnastics we came home, met up with the paraders, and headed out to waldorf to see big hero 6. we had a group of 36 people, like half the theater. it was so super cute!
we tried to get a picture of all the kids, we really did.
after the movie several of the families headed over to cafe rio to keep the party going. it was great fun! and deliciousness. movie popcorn is definitely in my top 5 favorite foods. it's ranked pretty close to chocolate even. i love going to the movies, it's one of my favorite things. :)
we got home and put the girls right to bed. they were some tiiiiired ladies. all 3 girls to bed, lights out, and i came to our room, sat on our bed, and thought, maybe i'll go to sleep now too. i looked at the clock and it was 7:30. it was a long and fun day and we were all tired!

i decided that was probably too early so i headed downstairs with full intent to work, but best laid plans, blah, blah, blah. ended up with boy/mama discord and i finally called it a night at 9. i held out an hour and a half, what's a girl to do? the only downside of going to bed at 9, and a day of gluttonous eating, is that sometimes you wake up at 1 with a tummy ache. i turned and tossed, and tossed and turned for a few hours and finally got up at 3. i'm thinking a nap between the seminary/work people leaving and the elementary person waking up will be in my cards this morning.
