time for her check-up

(for those of you not so blessed as to be acquainted with doc mcstuffins, she is a newish cartoon character with a cute little theme song about "time for your check-up!)

frankie the frog had her 4 year check up yesterday. she was the envy of her sisters, who kept asking when it would be their turn to go to the doctor too.
she was a proud little lady!
she had lots of questions and told everyone that would listen that she was a doctor too.
she killed it on her vision test.
nailed it!
and even though she was apprehensive about her hearing test
("umm no, like, i don't want to have a hearing test")
she did well.
i love her faces! "hmmmm, is the tweet coming on this side? i just can't seem to make out..."
she was timid and cute about it. we had to keep reminding her of what she was supposed to do and then she would slowly show us which ear she heard the tweet in.
she loves dr o'rourke and her frog and duck on her stethoscope. she loved the whole visit, until they brought in her 3 shots. i held her and she only cried out once. she did ask several times why they had given her "boy band-aids" though. that stuff matters.
from there we headed to dorsey park for an easter egg hunt playgroup. it was fun to visit, even though we almost blew away. soooo windy.
it's funny that something so simple as finding plastic eggs on the ground can bring such joy, but time and again, they love it.
all the eggs but one were found and a good time was had by all. it's especially nice to visit with friends while your children enjoy playing with theirs. win-win!
in some exciting news, we have sister missionaries in our ward now!!! this thrills me! so we had them over for dinner and fhe last night, totally perfect since it was just the girls. :) they requested spaghetti (of all things) and brownies, and we all had a good time. after fhe sister fifita gave the prayer, and asked if she could do it in her native tongan, and it was awesome! i asked the girls if they understood anything and addie shouted "ray!" that's about all i understood too, but the spirit is there even when the knowledge of language is not. :)
lexi is her grandmothers granddaughter, and, in true seagrove fashion, did her taxes last night. while i put the girls to bed she cleared the table and even took the garbage to the curb. and then, with just some small persuasion, she did the dishes. sweetheart!

she also spent the day blistering her feet by walking all around dc enjoying the cherry blossoms. (5 years here and i have yet to enjoy the cherry blossom festival. i need to get on it!) and then she dutifully came home for dinner with the family. and the sisters asked if she would go with them to do some visits and she said yes. holla! :)

and one cute kid moment:
addie has matter of factly told several different people (during several different meals) that
"i like spicy food because i was born in new mexico."
she is such a cute little new mexican. :)
