Neighborhood Easter egg hunt

We had our neighborhood Easter egg hunts today. They do a day and night hunt, but since we had baseball today, we went to the flashlight hunt. I was busy all day and didn't check fb, so I thought we were supposed to be there at 7 to see the Easter bunny. We headed to the park at 6:45, but no one was there. And it was chilly! So we ran and played until the festivities got going. At 7 some neighbors started putting eggs out. Delaney found one and looked at me super surprised and almost concerned and said "where's the Easter bunny?!" This is her wondering face. She is so fun!
She thought it was so fun that there were already Easter eggs out!
Pure Excitement!
Getting ready to greet the bunny. Uncooperative 2-year-old crossing.
The gang. You can barely see Addie behind the bunny ears on the left. Laney was clinging to my leg and I have no clue where Frankie was. It was kind of chaotic. (:
Somehow Addie was first in line for pictures (I seem to remember this happening at the Christmas party... hmmm) and here's what we got. Haha, an extra child! And a boy no less!
Delaney finally agreed to grace us with a picture when the bunny offered up his carrot. But by then an over zealous child had gotten in the way. Ah well. (:
Delaney loved finding the eggs!
And so did the frog.
When she found her 12 eggs she helped Laney complete her dozen. Addie had separated from us when the hunt started, but when I found her she'd collected only her allotted 12 eggs. Good girl. (:
And happy (and cold) laney and mommy heading home.
We gathered to laney's room, cranked her space heater, looked through our loot, and read our nightly books. Sweet ending to a sweet day.

The Easter bunny's wife made these fabulous cookies for each and every child!
So sweet! And amazing!
Pretty nice neighborhood we got here. (:
