happy tuesday

(nonsensical picture overload ahead)
delaney's been waking up and being so cuddly.
one of the best parts of cold weather is definitely the snuggling. :)
i could hear my early riser frankie trying to open her door but (don't judge) i had forgotten to unlock it. see sometimes i lock their door at night (don't judge) when they start coming out of their room for silly reasons, but then after they fall asleep i unlock it. well last night i had forgotten to, (stop judging) so it was just me and lanes for our cuddlefest. it would be dreamy to stay in bed all day with a cuddly baby.
sleep, cuddle, heaven.
but alas, duty calls. and this little dancer requested pancakes (every day).
we had an 11:15 appt to visit vicki but of course lady lanes was sleeping.
so we hung out for awhile, all dressed up and ready to go, to see if she would wake up on her own.
(she didn't)
tops are pretty cool.
chatting with my best big (little) girl.
"argh!"
love this brown eyed girl.
we had a nice visit with vicki, were 5 minutes late for addie's school, and then franks and lanes fell asleep in the car. that lasted about 15 minutes and then they were both up and ready to play. that used to really frustrate me (no nap time for mama to get things done) but i'm getting over it. they're pretty fun to hang out with after all.
franks requested a photo shoot.
goofy pictures are always a favorite past time.
halloween villians.
this one has always been called "silly face."
these two girls both ate a few chocolate chippie's.
so funny how a few chocolate chips can create a chocolate go-tee.
then we took one of my fav pictures ever.
alien much?
one of this big girls jobs is to open the curtains every day.
(this was after our #2 accident so we had already changed her cute matching pants)
then she did a cute little pose for me?
then she almost fell...
then without missing a beat she posed again.
life's little funny moments.
my days are full of them.
not sure what it is with my kids and wanting pictures of their feet, but whateva.
we picked up addie and then it was craft time for girls, basketball time for bubba.
these chic's dig crafts.
we got some delish tortilla soup at the grocery auction, but at dinner time we found we didn't have any tortilla chips! oh no! so christian got a lesson in improvising and we made homemade chips. delish.
the poor only brother also experimented on my hair by trying to do a sock bun.
i hope his wife appreciates all of his programming. ;)

alexis had borrowed a wand from a friend and was excited to do my hair for me.
we both decided that it looked... interesting.
and some zoolander.
and this is not the best picture of either of us, but holy moly, same smile, same pose, same hair (only shorter). i told alexis to take a good look. because this is her future.
poor girl.

matt has been noticeably absent from this blog lately.
so here he is!
new class started last night, so he came home to a late dinner and studying.
then there was some before bed rough housing wherein franks took a tab;e to the nose and forehead.
it swelled immediately, poor baby.
we got her some juicey and some cuddles and she felt better.
besides, i think it's always a good idea to give your kids a concussion and then send them to bed.
and for good measure.
it was a good, family, happy tuesday.
