gotta get down on friday

but to sum up thursday real fast...

we got home with goodies and just enough time to help get christian ready for his big schloss campout.

laura picked lex up from cheer and they had some quality time, then when lex got home matt and i went on a date. a real date, so crazy, can't remember the last time that happened! and laney had just fallen asleep so we left her, it was awesome. we had a nice dinner at leonardtown grill and then walked around the wharf. it was a beautiful night.

on friday this little cutie reached a new milestone.

there was no school on friday and with matt at work and christian big schlossing, alexis and i had a date. we dropped the girls off with alecia and headed to target first. while we were there lexi decided to apply for a seasonal help job. :)

then we had a delicious lunch at applebees.

good time with my good girl.

we got home and life went on as usual.

*sidenote*

 the carseats were left outside for awhile, and yes, this will be relevant to the story.

we took alexis to school at 5 for cheer. on the way frankie kept whimpering, which is not super unusual, but she usually has a reason. i kept asking her what was wrong and she kept saying "look!" as soon as we got home i rushed back to her.

 there were ants all over my poor frankie baby.

crawling up her legs, crawling up her arms, and she didn't know what to do. :(

it was so sad.

thankfully they weren't biting ants, but un-thankfully there were millions.

there were even some that had made they're way to laney and addie.

i got them out of their seats so fast, stripped them down, and made sure we were all clear.

then i came inside and did what any other self respecting bug hater would do.

i called matt and told him he had to come home.

(it was after 5, but still)

he's so good to me. :)

 

matt got the ant catastrophe about half way done before it was time for me to go to lexi's game. it's too cold to take the babes, so bummer, i had to fly solo. ;)

our poor mighty raiders lost 40-6.

 

but on the plus side the girls only had to do 6 kicks. ;)
