they love auntie alli. as they lay on her and show her their homecoming pictures. :)
i love the sweet relationships we have with our families.
sunday morning dawned chilly and grey.
but we really wanted to take a walk so we headed out.
we got just past the park when it started really raining, so we went into an unfinished home to wait it out.
after about half an hour of pouring rain we nominated christian and alli to run home and bring the truck for us.
they were good sports about it. :)
ps - that's an empty stroller.
then we rattled some bones and had addie take some pictures.
alli did her hair all sexy like. ;)
we enjoyed some conference and conference bingo candy.
and some leg rubbing.
chris wanted addie to lay with him and offered to rub her legs and told her that he's a good leg rubber. she says "how are your nails?" i guess there are prerequisites for good leg rubbing.
little queen of sheba!
after conference we enjoyed a long and aggravating game of aggravation.
it looked like this - we were all so close.
and lexi came out of nowhere and won!
then at dinner lexi tried to refuse to eat something and alli and christian made sure she got some.
oh the hijinx!
that night alli, christian, and i played the worlds longest game of monopoly.
alli bankrupted out around 10:30. we should have just counted our money then. instead we played on and on and on. at midnight i told christian that i would play for one more hour, not really thinking we would go that long.
we did.
he won.
on monday there was no school, so allie, laney, and i went shopping!
we went to a bunch of stores and had a bunch of fun.
too much fun for some.
that night was haircut night.
first me then addie.
this is her second alli haircut.
just trying to even out her little mop. ;)
then frankie wanted to be a big girl so alli cut a few little wisps.
she was pretty proud.
and then the bubba.
he's been going for the david beckham look.
i like it!
we love new york! and alli for bringing us all shirts!
on tuesday we went to a delicious lunch at oga's.
love.
then we dropped frankie off to play with ashby, addie off at school, and headed up to baltimore.
i drove the kids spiffed up fresh-from-the-shop car, complete with fuzzy steering wheel cover and on my way back got stopped by the train on matta-woman beantown road. i didn't even know that trains still ran there! and yes, i thought it was interesting enough to take a picture.
so there.
we had a fun albeit short visit with alli. we're so glad she's an east coaster.
ps - matt really does still live here, he just worked the navy that weekend.
