if you give a toddler a camera

saturday morning was nice. i was folding about 100 loads of laundry in my room and everyone in the family just slowly migrated on in. it's not often that we all have nothing to do on saturday morning, so this was a nice change of pace. i had the camera in my room and addie got ahold of it. the following is what happens when you give a 2-year-old a camera.

 "lexi and fwankie, say cheese!"

 ?
"fwankie! fwankie, over here! fwankie, fwankie!"

a girl after my own heart with the self portraits. good job addie-cakes.
oh, and that's an old dress-slip of lexi's that she's wearing.
one night a loooong time ago, addie didn't want to go to sleep. (weird huh?) i had just gone through lexi's drawers and found these two old dress-slips from like, forever ago. (like i think they are a childs size 6) so as addie was throwing a fit about sleeping, i had the brilliant idea to get her the dress-slip to wear. i tied the back in a knot so it would fit properly and she was hooked. she danced and twirled in that silly slip and went to sleep with no problem. and it's been a favorite ever since. so on saturday morning after i got her dressed she found her ballerina (that's what she calls it now?) and proceeded to wear it over her ensemble the rest of the day.
back to the rest of the installment of addie the photographer.
i know, it's pure excitement.
i like this one. minus me.
it was before i made the bed, okay?

 fingers.

this was when i tried to take the camera away.
she was m-a-d, mad!
 still mad.
 and still...
and i caved for a lexi/mama photo shoot.

matt warned me that if we ever invest in a quality camera, addie is not practicing her photography skills with it. and neither is anyone under 30.
i told him that i can handle that.
