comings and goings

some of our random ray happenings:

on saturday christian, along with all the other scouts from our church and around the region, went on a 10 commandments hike somewhere in va.
(i know that i really should know that but oh well.)
it was cold and rainy but they still had a good time.

they went to different churches and were taught about the 10 commandments by the different religious leaders. i think it's pretty cool the way they all came together.
we have a huge group of young men!
and when the young women join them they are a force to be reckoned with!

i know you probably can't see him, but here is matt in his spiffy blue camo from last weekend..
hubba hubba. ;)
one day it was warmish (sort of)and i really wanted a repeat of the really wonderful day we spent at the park. but addie took a really long nap.
so when she woke up i still really wanted to take her to the park to play for a few minutes before the sun went completely down.

she wasn't feeling it.
and she looked hilarious because i was in a hurry so i put her in her too small green jacket and she also happened to be wearing some too short pants and seattle natural slip on shoes. she looked like a little hungarian lady, out fretting in the cold.

way to get back to our roots, addie-socks!
or as matt would have called you, budapest-best.
so.cold.
it's been rainy and cold. last night we got snow, but mostly it's just been rainy.
i was sitting in my car stopped at a light one day, and was just struck by how very pretty it is here. and my camera was right next to me so, voila, photographic proof. and just in the nick of time because my light had just changed to green.

hope your february is very pink and heart shaped.
ours is. :)

Like all sailors, Matt needs to learn how to put some polish and shine on those shoes he is wearing. Camouflague indeed.
