Last day rolling - day #5

Matt woke up early Friday morning and went for a sunrise hike up to some castle ruins.

I wish I’d have gone with him, but he didn’t wake me to ask, and I probably would have tried to sleep anyway, though i did wake up and didn’t sleep 👎🏼 .

He was so happy he got to do it, and these pictures are amazing.

We had to have the boat back between 8:30-9:30, so we had packed the night before and headed out from Sun Trevor early Friday morning.

They met us after the aqueduct and took over the boat duties, refueled us, and just like that our cruise was complete.

We had the best time! Even the skeptical cruisers had to admit it was pretty great. It was such a unique experience and everyone got along and it was just wonderful.

We ate brekkie at an old church tearoom. They had murals all along their courtyard. Wales!

Love the teapot flowerpots.

And all the mismatched tea-sets.

We all spread out as we waited for our breakfast.

Traditional English breakfast. Toast, eggs, “streaky” bacon, mushrooms, stewed tomatoes, sausage, and baked beans. Every. Time.

Adi is so sweet and always makes sure papa has a partner.

We took 3 cabs from Trevor basin to the train station where we traveled from Trevor Wales to Chester, then on to Manchester.

The first train was packed full, so we were all super grateful when our longer train into Manchester was fairly empty and we all got seats.

That was a working/catch-up day, so I didn’t take any more pictures. We went straight to the air b&b where we immediately got the washing machine going, and score - they had a dryer too! We all showered and then walked to the grocery store where we bought an appetizer dinner combo. We played skip Bo and stayed up late talking and doing laundry and basking in being clean. 🛁
