Day #182

*September 12, 2020*

Early morning peekaboo sesh with my fav grand baby.

Goofy peekaboo with a bright flash!

Papa invited Lu and I to lunch. We decided to check out The Rex because they have nice outdoor dining set up.

We all enjoyed our meals and had a nice time together.

Since we didn’t grab a picture of dad, here’s one of the top 5 reubens he’s ever eaten. We’ve been teasing him about ordering reubens every time we go out and then never liking them. He finally liked this one - hooray!

After, we walked over to Heritage Chocolate and papa treated us to a make your own box of chocolates. This is one of the best smelling stores ever!

We went to the pool with friends that afternoon. It’s so nice to visit with friends and let the girls get energy out.

September 12 is National Chocolate Milkshake Day and we were prepared. We had lots of add-ins to choose from and made each shake to order. They were rich and delicious.

Emmett especially enjoyed them!

While we enjoyed our Saturday, Addie went to Abby’s all day birthday extravaganza.

She had a great time decorating cupcakes, eating Chinese at the wharf, and shopping.

These girls are so sweet together and I can hardly believe they are all 12 now.

Addie told me that when covid is over they want to go shopping and try on dresses for hours and maybe buy one if they like it. It’s funny that she didn’t talk about going to the mall, because that’s basically what she wants to do, but maybe she doesn’t remember what a mall is? It’s certainly not in her everyday, or even every month life. When covid is over, I will happily take these fun girls to the mall to try on dresses to their hearts content. It’ll be a happy day!

Silliest.

I mean, what is life.

On 9/12, the whole west coast was on fire. Things have improved as of today’s writing, but it was so bad. The whole thing is a mess, and as with everything else, there are no easy answers. Oh 2020.

Also, the worst hurricane season in many, many years. 6 tropical disturbances at one time. We’re almost through with the hurricane alphabet with 2 more months left of hurricane season. Its unprecedented. These are the last days.
