COH - part 2

These are all pictures I got from my wonderful friends that thought to take pictures of my boys special day. (:
Matching sashes!
Troop 1846! (A few of them)
This was the rootbeer float station. My ice cream idea actually started with this and flowered from there. Not that ice cream is especially creative, but you know. I filled mason jars with scoops of vanilla ice cream and stuck red and white paper straws in them, then filled the 2 canisters with root beer for its own cute rootbeer float station.
*Before pics. I have problems asking for help. I don't know why I feel like if I'm putting on a party I have to really put on a party and not ask anyone's help.
But I finally got anxious enough to ask Tracy to come early and help me set up. I'd just been thinking about it for so long, I had borrowed decorations from several different people, and I knew I'd need help figuring out where everything should go.
The scouts were going to come at 5 to help set up chairs, and thankfully Lana and her crew came too. I gave lana pictures and asked her to hang them prettily and she did!
And finally it started!
This is the president of the county commissioners, Randy Guy, presenting a citation to Chris.
After Christian's speech he told him he did such a good job, he might have a career in politics. (:
Joanne presented Chris an Eagle Scout belt buckle from the council.
Oh, here's one of my pictures.
Chris with his escorts. (: seabase buddies for life!
We asked tony to present Chris with his award. Home teaching comp buddies!
This is an after picture, but it shows my cute whipped cream canisters. I believe the devil is in the details!
(These pics are all random) this is Chris pinning David with the mentor pin.
And his cute speech. (:
Josh photo bomb!
Baby boy with his awards table. I gathered every scout picture I could find and used the black frames from my photo wall to put pictures on the table to display. There's the flag we had flown over the Capitol in his honor. His eagle award from the stake. His old scout stuff - scarves, hat, pinewood derby cars, patches, and awards. Then, in the middle is a book of congratulatory letters I requested. My fav is one from the men of Duck Dynasty. They sent him an autographed picture. (: we also had one from the pope, ym General presidency, president Obama, and Mike Rowe. There were several that I requested that didn't make it. I would have requested more, but I read somewhere that of each scout only requests a few, then people won't get too tired of sending them. That makes sense to me. I also put his nice congratulatory cards and notes in there.
More organized COH pics to come. (:
