trunk or treat

last week we had our trunk or treat at church, always fun!

really early on addie had decided that she wanted to be merida. as i started acquiring costume parts, frankie decided to forget doc mcstuffins and sofia the first, she wanted to be merida too. so then i thought it might be cute to have 3 little crazy redheads running around, you know, kind of like merida's triplet little brothers.

 

but then miraculously she agreed to be alice in wonderland when i pulled out the costume from our bins. halloween 2012 clearance, yo! she had never even seen the movie, so we watched it and every few hours she would say "who am i being again? what's that girls name? oh, alice. yeah, i'm alice." she makes a pretty cute alice!

laney hadn't been too into halloween. she didn't want to try on any costumes and when i tried she'd get mad. thankfully when we got to church we found that cute annie was also tinkerbelle! laney saw her and decided she could dress up too.

 yay!

and i just realized that i forgot to get a picture of the two tinks together! boo!

a fun time was had by all. we played a few games, walked around the cake walk a few times, and participated in the costume parade.

and we played with friends too. :)

laney looks funny, but since this is the only picture of me (oh the woes of being the family photographer!), here it is. on halloween maybe sonny and cher will actually get a picture together. that'd be crazy.

and lexi had a late homecoming cheer practice.
