today was an at home day. i had loads to do and a huge pile of paperwork to get through. blaaaaah. i was able to work on that all morning (and almost finished it, holla!) because delaney's schedule is all off and she slept in until 11! i know it's bad, but it's been kinda nice. at least on days that we don't need to be anywhere. anyhow, lexi gets home at 11:30 and we worked on her first college application. west virginia, wild and wonderful! she leaves at 2:45 for cheer and then chris gets home at 3. that leaves me no alone time, but a chance to catch up with each one individually. half full, my glass is half full! when addie got home we did some homework and then made these cute halloween necklaces.
"this is the way fancy people take pictures."
i love her. :)
this is what happened when i asked her how addie looks when she takes pictures.
and this is what happens when i insist on a (semi) normal picture to show her necklace.
never to be outdone...
also, it's red ribbon week and today was crazy hair or hat day. addie chose to wear "the hat i wore in pre-k." she even stuck to her plan when i offered to spray her hair red. she knows what she wants!
matt worked late tonight. there have been lots of opportunities for overtime, so that's good. half full, overtime is good, half full. chris hung out with us until about 5 and then decided he needed a nap. he slept till 8, so i guess he was right. after we blitzed the kitchen he and i went for a nightime run and we saw a shooting star. awesomeness. lexi had cheer practice and then they worked on the music for senior night this friday. sniff, sniff. not a super exciting day, but still nice.
bonus shot:
frankie learned about space for preschool last week and joni had them make their own planet.
frankie named hers "sophia abigail ashby."
i love her. :)
