friday fun

we met up with sarah, lana, dani, and sierra (and crew) at chick-fil-a for a fun playdate where we got to talk birth, birth, birth. dani did hypnobabies and it's just all so interesting. a weird part of me wishes i could have a few more babies just to try all these different methods and see if i could do better than i have. but then i snap back into reality!

after that we dropped addie off at school where we got the fabulous news that she's been approved to ride the bus!!! long story short(ish) - there's a special education bus coming into our neighborhood but everyone was telling me that addie couldn't ride it because they keep the special service busses totally separate from the regular ed. busses. i know there are rules, but seriously, an almost empty bus is coming into my neighborhood and going to my school, and you aren't going to let my child on it? so i emailed the director of transportation and he approved my request! i didn't even have to fight the man! which i was prepared to do but am totally glad that i don't have to.
awesome!

then laney and i headed out for her much anticipated 9-month-check-up.
she weighs 16.15lbs.
skinny minny!
she's like "what are we doing? why are we here?"
then we waited for an hour because we wanted to see only dr. miller. and i somehow thought it was a good idea to have an appt on friday afternoon? sometimes i just don't think!
"let me outta here!"
"oh, i can't get my lead test today because the lab's already closed and that's another dumb reason we shouldn't have come on friday afternoon and we have to come back? well then i guess i'll be happy!"
dr. miller said delaney is a little small (20th percentile) but nothing to worry about since she seems happy and healthy. phew!!! she's still a tall glass of water, can't remember the percentile, but she'd be 8th in a line-up of 10 9-month-olds, which i've always thought would be awesome to see, bytheway.

from her appt that ran late, we rushed home to sign papers for our awesome home refi. love saving money! now we just gotta figure out how to invest that money saved.

from there christian and i rushed (do you see a theme here?) to the last football game for the year.
we were going to go as a whole fam, but this morning right about target when frankie had her third diarrhea of the morning and her poor bummy started getting red, i started thinking that might not be a good idea. after chick-fil-a, and 2 more poopies, we weren't in too good of shape. and then coming home she was downright rashed, and angry about it. so matt stayed with the 3 little girls (and maggie and daniel) so that we could enjoy the game. he's such a good guy. he never complains about all my gallivanting around. and to top it off, it's a navy weekend so he's got an early morning. love my hard worker.

it was so cold! but really this is the first game i've been super cold at, so i guess i can handle that.
lexi is back to stunting after all her injuries.
"whoooaaa..."

nailed it!
she's the far left.
and their fun halftime show.
it was also senior night, so they presented all the senior cheerleaders and they got to walk out with their parents while everyone cheered for them.
can't believe we'll be doing that next year!!!
have i mentioned that it was cold???
aaand after game pics.
our mighty raiders won by the skin of their teeth. they were ahead the whole game and then within the last 4 minutes they let patuxent come within 3 pts of them. then pax got the ball and got as far as the 10 yard line! it was pretty exciting but we finally won. and that was only patuxent's second loss of the season.
 holla!
and one with an overexposed flash.
and then the honey badgers.
(that i do not approve of, the nickname, not the girls)
then i got to:
*drive peter and friend home.
*drive mike, david, and albert home.
*make christian mad because he couldn't spend the night w/the boys because of scouting for food saturday.
*wake up with delaney.
*wake up with a throwing up lexi.
*wake up with frankie.
*wake up with delaney.
*check on a still sick lexi.
*wake up a still angry christian and drop him off for laura to deal with. ;)

all in a nights work!
(hmmmm, i thought there was supposed to be a lot more reading and bonbon eating going along with this stay-at-home-mom gig.)
