she's 17!!!

for some reason 17 just seems a whole lot older than 16. in a few more days she will officially be a senior in high school. it's just craziness!

she loves her job! she loves the girls she works with and they are planning a hostess slumber party, but they don't know when they'll be able to have it because darn applebees is always open. she also enjoys having $. my rule was 10% tithing and 10% saving, but i'm starting to think we should change the savings amount a little bit. we're learning so much with this oldest child!

she is a fabulous big sister. she's a pretty good big big sister to chris, but she's an excellent big sister to the little girls. delaney gets so excited when she sees sissy and they hug and love. peter's parents gave addie and lexi a movie gift card and snacks, so these two have a date scheduled. :)

she and peter are still going strong. it will be a year this july. and next year should be even more interesting because he'll be going to leonardtown with her.

since she's a working woman, she really didn't need anything for her birthday. i wonder if we really ever need things, but sometimes birthdays are a good time to supplement school cloths and summer wardrobes, you know.

we got her a nice bracelet i've had my eye on. she loved it. :)

she says she'd like to go to college someplace close by so she won't miss the little girls growing up. we're still planning our mother/daughter road/plane trip for this summer. my picks are byu-i and byu-provo. her picks are tba.

 

she's such a sweet girl. she teaches me about myself every day and i love her for it. she's opinionated and strong and smart and beautiful. i don't know what we'll do without her here next year! good thing we've got a whole year until we have to really think about that. it'll be great!
