on saturday we celebrated our sweet girl's 3rd birthday.
her big day isn't actually till the 24th, but since we'll be gone in phoenix, we celebrated the whole day on saturday.
oh this chic and her natural poses!
and all i wanted was a hand on the hip!
we had crepes for breakfast and all the juice franks could drink,
which is a lot of juice.
then her part-tay started at 2.
laney loved being able to run around the gymnastics center.
after addie starts kindergarten in the fall, i'll start laney in the mom and me classes. :)
the party was soooo fun!
even the big kids had a good time.
*alexis and joseph racing to the top.
matt set the kids up with a mat and spring board and they all took turns doing flips.
lucky boys are so agile!
we played for 45 minutes on one side and then got all the instructions for going to the other side of the gym.
i had wanted to do a gymnastics party last year for my little winter baby, but they were all booked up.
so this year i went in and reserved our special day all the way back in october. :)
be prepared, that's not just for the boy scouts you know.
da' boys.
and da' big kids.
the pit is sooo fun!
and sooo hot!
right in the top middle there's a blurry matt swinging into the pit.
unfortunately we forgot our big camera and the lighting at the gymnastics center is terrible, so poopy pictures. :(
someone, i think christian, had thrown lexi in the pit and then everybody started throwing squares at each other. so fun!
matt hung out in the pit forever. and he was a major block throwing instigator.
all fun though.
frankie was so fun.
swinging in with me and jumping on the trampolines with me.
so precious.
and big fearless sister.
then i told christian he couldn't make it to the top of the rope.
monkey boy proved me wrong.
it was totally nap time and laney was totally crabby.
so sweet laura walked her around and around until she fell asleep.
i have such awesome friends!
after an hour and a half of playing, everyone was hot and sweaty and ready for cupcakes.
she was so cute while we sang to her.
she just smiled and looked around.
it was the best.
yummmm.
it was awesome, we had about 25 kids and probably 20 adults.
love our friends!
sometimes sibling birthdays are hard, but these two shared and were really sweet together all day long.
another awesome frank story.
johnna put together a huge bag full of goodies for frankie. it was the first gift she opened, and the first thing she picked up from the bag was this cute purple ball. she picked it up and started to walk away. she would have been totally happy with just one cute purple ball.
and i love her even more for that!
we've got really amazing friends and they got frankie some really sweet gifts. :)
this was one tired girl, but she was happy and sweet all day.
she loved all her presents! when she opened the cinderella barbie lily had picked for her she put her hand over her mouth like she was shocked, it was so sweet.
i knew sarah had gotten her a scooby doo set, and i knew frankie would freak when she opened it.
so we saved it for last of all. she squealed and was so excited!
frantic little girl panting going on here.
one happy birthday girl.
the lighting is really terrible, but here was my inspiration for the frankie frog cupcakes on top, and my version on the bottom.
amateur, but still cute, right?
i know i keep saying this, but seriously, the party was so fun.
i was so excited for it, and it was everything i wanted it to be.
i just kept picturing all of our friends playing and climbing all over the gymnastics center that we love.
and that's exactly what happened.
so glad frankie froggy had such an amazing birthday party. :)

Happy Birthday Frankie! Looks like everyone had a great time celebrating her special day!
It was totally fun! My kids told every family member we talked to all about it (and the cupcakes!) and Lily has already asked to not only be signed up for gymnastics but to have a party there too. Thanks for a great time!
