thugs, stickers, and chili

last night i got to hang out with these two.

delaney was chillin' in her cuffed sweatpants and chris got all jealous so had to go put his on.



and then he brought up matching hats and shades.

these are precious days.

today matt stayed home from work.

some days that's good and some days not so much. i have a tendency to not get a lot done when anyone else is home, but today was pretty good. he helped with the girls, took addie to school and picked her up, and kept me company. while he was picking addie up from school, frankie and i set about to pick up their room. we had ashby over for a play date and the top bunk was their airplane so there was tons of toys on it. well, what did i find when i climbed up onto her bed?

sticker mania.

now addie knows my sticker rule. absolutely no stickers on furniture, only on paper or bodies. so imagine my surprise! i just wonder how long they have been there because you can't see them at all unless on her bed.

ooooh, kids.

 

we're on week 2 (day 6) of drivers ed. we leave at 5:30 and the sunsets are beautiful on our drives.

 i love where we live.

tomorrow night alecia is hosting a freezer meal exchange. i can't make it, but am going to drop off my 8 batches of chili and pick up my 8 freezer meals on wednesday, so after dinner i got to cooking.

it's midnight and i'm still waiting on chili. not the best time manager today.

matt is feeling better. alexis had fun spending the night with sydney so she didn't have to be alone. christian came home from school instead of going to conditioning because he had a lot of homework, then realized he had left his book at school. addie tells me that her heart told her brain to say she should get a treat. frankie is working on not being sassy when asked to do something (she's been saying "okaaaaaaay!" real sassy like lately, and then when i tell her to say yes ma'am she says "yes, maaaa'aaaam!" real sassy still. we're working on it), and delaney has been ready for bed before her 10 o'clock bedtime two nights in a row, yay!

and now the chili is done.

all is well.
