this morning dawned bright and early for me. i have loads to do before vacation and yesterday we played all day. we watched anne of green gables and swam and played. so today it was back to reality for me. and summer reality no less.
i met up with laura at the commissary where we had a marathon shopping session. 3 hours, 4 carts, and a lot of $ later and we are ready for atlantic city. at least the food part is ready.
matt worked a navy day and was out late, so before he got home the girls and i squeezed onto the comfy little loveseat in the cool basement and watched more anne. lexi tries to act like she doesn't like it but i know she does, and even the little girls sat still and watched. i hope they'll learn to love it her as much as i do.
so nice.
tomorrow will be another busy day with cooking, packing, cleaning (although not too much cleaning because matt will be here by himself for the week and i wouldn't want him to enjoy himself too much;), and loading. it will be worth it though, i just have to keep telling myself that. and it's not hard to remember because every 15 minutes one of the little girls asks "are we going to the beach? yay!"
for tonight lexi is at robin's and this little lady is keeping me company.
