Steel pier

yesterday we enjoyed a relaxing day.
we took the kids to the pool and in addie's words, let them play in the "warm little pool," for a few minutes at a time. they were always sad when they had to leave the hot tub and would ask several times if and when they could go back in.
this little lady has been potty training pretty nicely lately.
fingers crossed that we're onto something!
then i stayed at the hotel so the little girls could nap while l and d took the big kids to the steel pier to enjoy the boardwalk and the rides. after naps me and my little crew walked over.
here are these 2 nosey parkers waiting for the elevator and staring at 2 girls having a conversation. it was too funny.
they loved the rides.
i had the debate that i always have, do i buy tickets or the wristband...
the wristband always wins out.
love joseph's face here! they were loving addie's reaction to the spinning.

addie and frankie were very brave and rode everything they could.
and the big kids had so much fun seeing them having fun.
 it was sweet.
this one was especially fun.
addie's face was happy going up, then scared/shocked going down, then happy again. we were all cracking up watching her.

addie looked a little nervous going on the ferris wheel, but laura reported that she had a great time.
i got coaxed into going on one ride, the crazy mouse.
fun. :)
frankie liked the roller coaster and addie had a love/hate relationship with it. she was crying when it ended, but i think she really liked it. she's such a girl. :)

by the end of the afternoon frankie was kind of done. she'd had a good nap, but one good nap doesn't make up for a week of none. here she is perfecting her 2-year-old pout.
i kind of love/hate it. on one hand it's super bratty, and on the other it's super cutely ridiculous.
we came home to eat dinner with every intention of going back.
but then we had to run to the store and didn't finish dinner till after 9, so i stayed with franks and lanes and the rest headed back. they got home after midnight, tired, dirty, and happy.
