Laura, kt, alexis, and I climbed the absecon lighthouse yesterday. Took us forever to figure out how to say it until the lighthouse keeper helped us - he said "there's a beacon in absecon." got it!
matt's not here with us and the lighthouse keeper was just sooo handsome... i couldn't help it!

After our lighthouse adventure we ate lunch and headed to the cape may zoo. It's a cute little free zoo.
Frankie kept saying "I want to see the lion," and then she'd put her hands up like a lion and ROAR. She's my little animal lover. (:
i love giraffes. they might be my favorite.
like the pioneers before us we walked, and walked, and walked.

she held off for a long time but finally crashed after about 2 hours.

when we were in outer banks matt promised everyone that if they could say only nice things for 15 minutes, he would get them ice cream. then we never got a chance, so i made good on his promise at the zoo.
after the zoo we let the little girls ride the carousel.

on the way home we hit the good ol' golden coral. i know a lot of people don't like buffets, and yes, they are kind of gross, but they remind me of growing up and i love them. this was a fancy gc that served cotton candy.
then when we got home the girls climbed all over the windowsill.
