frankie's pink birthday party!

frankie had a birthday!
(shout hooray!)
the night before her birthday, the kids went on a temple trip and didn't get home until midnight, so i let them stay home from school to enjoy the festivities.
because all of our saturdays were booked up, we decided to have a playgroup party on her actual birthday (thursday).

cute birthday digs. someone put her crown on funny, check out her ears!

blurry, but cute.
look at those huge teeth!
the decor.
i had all the pink decorations planned out and i thought it turned out really cute.
i'm having so much fun with cupcakes lately! and those are edible glitter hearts on there, isn't it the cutest?!
i learned something about myself that day. i really like planning the food and decorations, but the agenda of the party, not so much. people got there and i was kind of like.... now what?
pink candy melt dipped oreos and pretzels, yum!
brothers kale and riley showed up first and addie was bound and determined to put tiara's on their boy heads!
riley was cool with it.
stupid blurry camera!
needless to say, she loved her crown and left it on all day!
bribing her with food to try and get some cute crown pictures. didn't work too great.
we played downstairs with toys and then a few games of duck, duck, goose, and ring around the rosie and then decided it was time for cake. (or maybe we did presents first, i can't remember!)
and this was a happy face, pretty sure.
maybe worried?
loving that crown!
she dug right in!
she likes to smush things.

yummmmm!

pretty good, right?!

and she was done.
presents! all the 2-year-olds wanted to help!

she opened the bunny, looked at him,
and then loved him all up!
it was super cute!

cute polliwalks, just a little big, cause i think everything should be big!
after presents we decided to give the 1-year-old an oreo and let her have at it.

sugar-coma.

after the party, and a nap, and a change of clothes, she was able to enjoy some of her new presents.
so fun!

that night we got to do it all over again with daddy!
"oh, okay. this again."

for a baby that's never had candy, cookies, or cake, it was really so.much.sugar.

she got through about 2-3 presents and was done.

since she had gotten so many fun things that morning we decided to put the rest away for a rainy day.
or maybe addie's birthday in june.
whichever comes first.
