Pink eye and fun

We got up and out early today and walked the strip (finally).
We walked all around New York, New York. And Amy saw the sights off Brooklyn bridge.
It's all so cute! I love all the details, it all looks so authentic.
I don't know, it's just a cool chair.
See giant candy bar, must pretend to eat.
Hershey store fun.
I got ma Spanish on.
Adorbs. The scenery and the gals. (;
We walked around and through all the casinos that direction.
Excalibur fun.
Luxor fun.
And some Luxor hijinx. #nailedit
We had a 1:00 hair appt at the aveda institute (birthday girls choice) so we needed to head back and thought it would be fun to take the tram. Alas, closed.
Thankfully we found a working tram and were on our way. And just for good measure, we rode it a few times. We didn't know where it let off and thought we'd go further up, but it just took us back where we'd come from, so we rode it again. Simple times for simple girls. (;
We both got haircuts and then Amy got a color. While I waited for her I checked out a thrift store next door. Found some good stuff, including old casino chairs and spa robes. Too bad I don't have more room in my luggage.
After the hair debacle (Amy left with much less hair than she wanted to) we bussed it on down to the $5 movie theater at the Orleans. We saw the Lazarus effect (dumb nail biter) and Still Alice. (so sad!)

We took the bus back and chit chatted till bed. It's been such a wonderful few days with nary a dish washed or dinner made. We have definitely taken the time to appreciate our carefree vacation.

Back home things got hairy. Addie has double pink eye. That's a self diagnosis, since we didn't think the er would be necessary. Sarah hooked Matt up with some eye drops and I called all my friends without littles to see if addie could camp out on someone's couch and watch movies all day. I was thinking that I wonder if this is why moms don't leave their children a lot, because sometimes the best laid plans don't work out. Matt has some important stuff at work this week and can't miss another day, and Chris has track tryouts, so he can't even get the girls off the bus. Dumb pink eye. Hoping her eyes looks better today and she can be back at school tomorrow.

And a bonus stitch of our 4 funny pics from Bonnie creek.
