today was greenday! this was taken a few minutes after we realized we had missed our eager beaver bus driver, who came 5 minutes early on the one day that we were running right on time. lucky for us that daddy slept in and was able to take her to school. she was not happy about missing the bus.
we were busy at home all morning getting ready for our first day of preschool!!!
it's frankie and the boys this year!
everyone was excited.
curtis and frankie were laughing at...
this big headed mini lady.
we started with some pattern blocks.
it was tough to get all of their cute little heads in... poor frankie. :)
probably the most challenging thing about preschool was this little lady.
she woke up before 7, which is unheard of for her. so by the time preschool started she was already pretty tired. by about 10:30 she was downright crabby. no biggie, we had 3 1/2 hours of school time so we paused preschool, broke out the puzzles, and put little miss to bed.
these 3-year-olds were ready to learn!
they were wiggly and sometimes loud, and there were definitely some "i can't!"'s going on, but overall it was a really good day!
this morning frankie kept saying "are we leaving now?" and i had to keep reminding her that preschool was at our house. as the day went on though she seemed fine with it and even proudly proclaimed to alexis that mommy was her teacher! then when addie went down and saw all the preschool stuff out she said that when she grows up she'd like to be a preschool teacher too. :)
we made quesadillas, bananas, and graham crackers for lunch and had a nice little sit down.
since we'd already had some playtime, after lunch we went down for a lil' more preschool. we started coloring our elmer the elephant's,
one of my fav kindergarten are projects. :)
we started with this all about me sheet, just like we did last time. it's so fun to compare all their answers from the first day to the last. :) frankie says she is "frankie frog ray" and her favorite food is "just juicey." she would like to be a "fire truck girl" and knows "1" letter and "1" number. pretty sure she knows more than that, but hey, there's no place to go but up!!!
her self portrait and signature...
if you look closely you can see an "f" down there. :)
we did some laundry and after preschool clean up, and then i finally had a chance to open my huge disney package! i'm not one to open credit cards willy nilly (anymore), but last christmas i got an offer for a disney credit card where if i spent $500, i got a $200 disney gift card. i thought that was good enough deal to open a new cc! anyhow, fast forward to halloween and christmas coming, and i spent the remainder of my gift card and got a big ol' package from disney. as i was going through it, i found this collectors edition snow white, that i didn't order. in my mind i debated for a minute whether i should return it or not, and i wondered if maybe it was a free gift?
then i looked at the price.
wow!
long story short (ha) i called disney, they were floored that such a mistake had been made (i wasn't charged anything, just got a little something extra) and said that ups would pick up within 5 days. i said "oh darn, i was hoping you were going to tell me i just won a trip to disneyworld for being so honest." and he said "well, i can't do that, but i can offer you a $20 gift card." i guess that will do, but i'm still hoping that it's oprah winfrey pulling up in that ups truck next week with a free trip for us! ;)
a girl can dream, right?
after school addie and i worked on her family art project. she helped with the ideas and putting it together and i think her little sunshine turned out cutely.
it says how addie shines:
1. addie is a good friend! (she came up with that one)
2. addie is a magnificent artist! (grandpa came up with that one)
3. addie is a wonderful sister! (mommy came up with that one)
i threw together some hamburger helper, which addie ranted and raved about (i believe i heard "this is like a piece of heaven!" more than once). so; 2 hours on meatballs, i get nothing, 10 minutes on the helper and it's the best thing ev'ah.
that sounds about right. got it.
chris had his first fall ball practice tonight. he's working on pitching and being the catcher. i hope it's a good learning season! lexi had a sports preview night that i didn't go to because she assured me she wasn't performing, apparently her stunt group has all gotten injured and she has nothing to do. matt, addie, and laney are coming down with colds (hopefully not the strep throat that we got a letter home about today!) so i put the girls to bed while matt went to sleep early. poor laney has already been up twice. it's looking like it's gonna be a long night. and grandpa has a ticket back to africa for this tuesday! now all we need is dr's clearance. fingers crossed, i know he's ready to get back to school, which starts on the 10th.
and finally, i saw this on fb and thought it was hilarious and so me.
hahahaha.

Oh no! :( We all have some allergy attack going on over here... I'm hoping Ellie's nose clears up so she can go to nursery on Sunday. And that last thing was hilarious! Tony says if our girls ever wear booty shorts, he will too. BAHAHA!
