the first thing they did was make a run for the cars.
we cleared some space for them to drive in the basement, but it became clear pretty quickly that that wasn't gonna work. with a promised drive after presents, we headed upstairs for some celebration.
addie went straight to pass out the gifts she'd bought each of us.
it was so sweet to see her excited to give.
everyone loved their gifts from addie.
lexi's was best though.
i didn't realize it when addie picked it, but lexi's pen says "#1 dad"
awesomness.
christian's skateboard says "#1 brother."
after the #1 dad pen that just seems bor-ing.
and matt really appreciated his slime.

chris opened this fun one from my dad.
a personalized cookie jar, woo-hoo!
laney wasn't a big fan of opening presents.
weird, since she tears and eats paper all the time.

amy sent these cool personalized name straws.
it was a very personalized Christmas.
and a fake smile to boot.
the girls all got dream lites and addie and frankie were singing the little jingle all morning.
and thanks to them so were we.;)

christian's been wanting a fryer for a long time.
he was pretty happy to finally get one!
and we were all happy to place our french fry order later that day.
these robes were another gift that didn't make addie's cut.
she wanted a purple robe but i couldn't find any plain purple and i thought these polka dots were so cute. addie did not.
alexis had been badgering us for months to get an iphone.
it really was all she wanted.
i know, i'm such a sucker.
matt set it up that morning and hid it in the tree and then i called it.
it was pretty funny seeing her search frantically.
so happy.
and the rest of her day was spent like this:
