it's been another busy week. there's not one day this week that doesn't have at least 2 things going on. and most days have much more.
matt's unit had a garage sale this weekend and he found these cute light up shoes for frankie. (tags still attached, thank you!) she's in love with them and wouldn't take them off!
she walked around with her head down all morning, just staring at her new kicks.
delaney and christian, all dolled up and ready for church.
on the way to church addie posted yet another instagram picture to facebook.
gotta love addie.
alexis drove to and from church. it is still beyond crazy (and scary) to me that she can legally drive.
delaney posed for a few pics after church.
but then she decided she was done, so she spit up and called it off.
ps - she still doesn't love her bumbo.
delaney always gets lots of cuddles during storytime!
she's so lucky! ;)
since the kids and matt missed conference, we're trying as a family to watch one talk a night.
christian was rubbing lexi's back and i thought it was so cute.
ps - that stupid picture wall will be done this month if its the last thing i ever do.
while we were watching, frankie was playing with matt's phone. this is what matt's camera roll looks like.
addie!
on monday the little girls and i ventured to the store and then to delaney's follow-up eye appt, where it was deduced ($100 later) that her eye is completely healed and her vision is good.
christian had a makeup game that night, so i took the 3 girls and lexi stayed home to do her laundry. matt met us after studying for a little while and took the 2 bigger girls home (it was so cold!).
divide and conquer.
the yankees won, but not before playing for 3 hours and 15 minutes.
tuesday morning we went to playgroup, christian stayed at school for track, alexis for spanish recovery, and matt at work to study. christian had another game, but this time addie wanted to stay home with lexi and alexis agreed. it was cold again, which caught me totally unprepared because it was so hot all day. so my neighbor trina got frankie a blanket out of her car, and then put another blanket on the floor next to me in case delaney needed it later. frankie took the blanket, wrapped it around herself, and laid on the ground, using the other blanket as a pillow.
it was super cute. :)
after a couple study hours, matt picked up frankie (divide and conquer. all the time.) and delaney and i cheered the yankees on to another victory. this time only a 2 1/2 hour victory.
christian had gotten into some trouble at school, so we had a good talk. oh how i wish i could shelter and protect my kids from making mistakes, from being hurt, and from unhappy consequences. i know that's what brings growth, but sometimes it's just so unpleasant. hopefully today will be a better day.
