That morning we had planned to take the 2-year-old crew to Alcatraz and walk around San Francisco for the day, so that amy and max could have some alone time and rest. Unfortunately, we got within 3 miles of our cruise spot when quinney got sick in the car. :( Amy was feeling lonely anyway, so we turned around and went home.
All's well that ends well, and we ended up having a perfectly nice day at home.
And at the park too, where we took the girls to go play. (:
Anytime anyone would tell laney happy birthday, she would tell them happy birthday right back. It was pretty cute.
At two years old she is not interested in potty training. She is still mama's friend, although she's not opposed to daddy most days. She still wears 18-24 months, which worked out quite nicely for us in California since we were able to take home some of Quinn's old clothes she had outgrown.
She's tiny, but she's smart. She knows all of her letters, and several numbers. She is an avid Memory player, and pretty much anything having to do with phones or ipads, or comptuters, as she calls them.
She's a definite youngest child. She says a lot of "mine!" and thinks pretty much anything she wants, or thinks she might want, is fair game for her to take. That being said, she's usually pretty sweet.
For her special birthday dinner, we went big and decided to let the girls play date continue with some McDonalds. Delightful!
She's also an avid peek-a-boo'er.
We came home for cupcakes and presents. Don't mind her abused child look.
She had just gotten reprimanded for doing this to her candle.
Happy birthday, girl.
At McDonalds she had fallen and hit her head and cheek pretty good. Can ya tell?
She still loves to read, loves her lovey, and loves to play with her sisters. And sometimes brother. ;)
She stresses me out daily because she is the worlds worst eater. I don't know how much she weighs right now, but probably less than 25 lbs. She won't eat! She's not consistent with any one food. I try not to stress, I tell myself daily that she is a healthy and happy little girl and she will eat what her body needs. We always serve her a good plate of food, and almost always throw away half, if not more. That's all you can do, right?!
She's a pretty good little sleeper. She typically gets around 12 hours at night and a good 1-2 hour nap during the day. She still cries at bed sometimes, but then sometimes she just smiles and rolls over with a "see you in the morning!"
Her favorite characters right now are Sofia and Doc McStuffins. She loves juicey and chocolate milk. She will usually eat cheese, bread, yogurt (although right now she's on a yogurt strike), and then junkfood. Those are the things she'll always make room for. Anything else is hit or miss. She generally likes apples and bananas, (especially with peanut butter) oranges, nuts, crackers, noodles and sandwiches. But then some days she eats nothing, so you just never know.
She says "hold you!" and "i no know" and "i want Frozen - first time in ever," so super cutely. She is pretty articulate and speaks pretty clearly. For a 2-year-old, you know.
Auntie Henna got her a Doc McStuffins book and purse and a Frozen book. Heaven!
She loves stickers and is a total peeler. She will peel stickers off of anything! Walls, books, whatever, she is a destructor! She's peeled several decals from the girls door (ones that are not supposed to come off) and several pop up things from books. She also loves crayons and markers and marked up two walls one day when the big kids were "babysitting" her.
Despite all the annoyances (and she's 2, remember), she is a sweet little love bug and we all just adore her!
Happy birthday, Laney-bug!!!
