Trip prep continues and the blue team has some snazzy headgear.
Frankie went to a lacrosse game with her crew one day.
And then out to eat, lucky ladies!
This has been my zoom setup for the past few months. I’ve had several different spots. I remember when Zoom first became a thing I felt like I didn’t want to bring a meeting into my bedroom, so I tried the basement, our closet, and the dining room table whenever I could. It became quickly apparent that the only place I could have consistent quiet was in my room, so that’s where I landed. For a long time I sat on an exercise ball with the laptop on the bed. Then we moved this worlds ugliest but most comfy recliner back into our room after my septoplasty and I discovered if I put the laptop on our adjustable ironing board it was fairly comfortable.
Teacher appreciation week is next week and I’m busy busy with signups and shopping and making sure I’m organized and ready. Even though I’ve been staff appreciation chair 3 times, this is my first year doing the whole week. My first year was covid, second year my mom had just passed away, and so here we are.
This massage gun is actually legit, it feels really good!
Alli came down for her last weekend before back to work. Apple is so generous with their bereavement leave. We bought treats for a movie night, which we had 2 of, and played lots of games and it was a lovely weekend.
On Saturday between shenanigans we hiked at St. Mary’s Lake. This was the week we went from Spring to winter. Then from Sunday to Monday we went from Winter to Summer.
Frankies crew also got together on Saturday and went to a school play and for ice cream. I gotta up my game and figure out where to take them!
Ladies of a certain age will know that at 45 we are recommended to get a colonoscopy. It’s been on my list of things to do, but I think understandably not at the top. Then my lady doctor suggested I do Colo-guard. When the box arrived Delaney was all over it. She read all the info and told me whenever I was ready she’d get me all set up. And then she patiently waited. I got home Sunday evening to this little gentle reminder, and she’d set up the toilet for me. She helped in other ways too. 🤢
Adi looked so cute and relaxed during piano. Our recital is a month away!
It’s RSP ministering season, so I’ve been visiting my President’s and my presidency. It’s such a privilege to sit down with smart, spiritual, amazing women and talk about the gospel. I’m the luckiest.
Also summer trip planning and Florida trip planning x2 and it’s hot and our upstairs air conditioner doesn’t work, so that’s not gonna be fun money to spend, but since we haven’t done anything to our AC for 15 years, I guess we’re due.
