updates

delaney has been such a little lover lately.
she came up to addie on sunday and started loving on her.
she gives kisses, (big wet ones!) hugs, pats, laughs - she is so fun.
we're all - even the big kids - pretty much madly in love with her.
one annoying thing lately though has been her high pitched screech when she's throwing a fit.
sometimes she doesn't want to be picked up and doesn't want to be put down.
fun.
frankie is a total chatty cathy and i love it.
she haaaaates naps and night time lately and will look for any excuse to keep us in her room.
"we forgot to pray!" (she'll say that one several times, because how can we deny a 2-year-old that wants to pray?!), "don't leave!," "i want that!" and she'll frantically point all around the room.
she's pretty sweet lately.
she tries to help and be so good.
and she is sooo funny.
she sings and we all just want to bust out laughing.
scooby doo and doc mcstuffins are fav's, but really she's got a great voice so it's all good.
aaaand she went #2 on the big girl potty.
just once, but still.
small miracles.
her hair is finally getting longer but it is cray-zy!
it sticks out all over the place but it's not really long enough to put up either.
my poor little girls with their ratty hair.
heard from my other son.
he's in gaithersburg and is excited for his new area.
we met the new missionary on wednesday night and he's very nice.
but not elder anderson. :)
matt's been on a jello/pudding kick since he got his braces, so he made jigglers with the girls.
and then the next day i got to help them cut them out.
crafty lady loved it!
she is such a good big sister.
and she's such a good helper.
we've been working on cleaning their room and she's so sweet about it.
she'll wake up and pick everything up and "make" her bed and then be so proud of herself.
i.love.it!
she's back in miss jackie's class (they switch them back and forth, i guess?) and is happy with school.
she's even asked why she can't ride the bus anymore.
weird, because i didn't think she liked the bus too much, but whateva.
so sometimes when we're praying and the little girls are being rowdy i'll throw in a "please help us to be reverent" or "please help us learn to pray." so addie picked up on that and now she totally uses it. she'll say "please bless frankie to not throw a fit," or "please bless mommy to let us watch tv."
she's so smart.

she has also been telling me that when she grows up she's going to be a nice mommy, much nicer than me. she usually tells me that when she's mad at me, but one day she told me that she was going to be a "candy mommy" and give her kids lots of sweets. she looooves sugar.
seriously, she will do ANYTHING for a treat.
it's actually pretty convenient.
delaney even tried the jello, but she wasn't a fan.
frankie wasn't a fan either.
she pushed the cookie cutter in twice and was done.
and see what i mean about her hair???
little miss so-and-so stands all.the.time.
she falls a lot too, but that's par for the course.
lexi and i went to jenna's bridal shower last night.
it was so fun and so weird that one of lexi's friends is getting married... how did that happen?
how did she get old enough to have friends getting married?
weird!
lexi got volunteered to be the "bride" for the tp wedding gown game.
i call this "samuri bride."
not so cute.
the dress, not the girl. ;)
it's always fun to get together with the ladies and the soup was yummy and there was a chocolate fountain. so we couldn't go wrong.
tonight the 5 were all hanging out and it was so sweet.
that's always so precious to me.
i am so blessed.
and i call this "dating in the iphone age."
i am happy to report that pouty boy is coming around. we've had some good conversations. his ss teacher came up to me and told me how much she appreciates all that he contributes to their class, sweet. then he baked a cake for sister krugman for her birthday and decorated it and it was so sweet.
then laura and i woke up before 5 to make breakfast for their seminary class (she makes a birthday breakfast for everyone for each birthday - she's awesome!).
so we have crepes, strawberries, bananas, juice, cake, the whole nine yards, and we (laura, the kids, and i) walk in to seminary all excited and...
she's not there.
she had to take her sons to the airport so her husband subbed for her.
the best laid plans.

matt had today off and we got a ton done.
he watched the girls for awhile while i finished de-christmasing the house, hallelujah.
then i watched them while he puttered in the garage and shed.
he's gearing up for a working weekend, boo.

resolutions are going sloooowly, but i'm not giving up.
i think i can, i think i can...

i guess that's all.
the kids all do so many funny things and i think, oooh, i want to write that down, and then when i try to remember, i can't...
maybe next time.
life is good.
 love wins.

Michelle, you amaze me. I stopped following blogs, I guess, over the summer when I stopped writing my own. I can't believe you still keep up with it all. You do a great job. I'm sad I missed that shower, though.
