that good-good weekend

saturday was such a fun day.
in the morning i went for one of my christmas massages (matt got me 3) which was wonderful.
from there i hit up michaels (all by myself, holla!) and then met up with the girls for lunch at red robin. it was a good relaxing time out by myself.

when i got home i loved on babies and then helped christian get his batting cage set up. it's removable (since it's an eye sore for neighbors and for us) and took us 30 minutes to put up. not too bad, but definitely don't want to do it everyday. we decided (as long as no neighbors complain, fingers crossed!) to keep it up for a week, then take it down for a week and try to hit up dorsey park during our week with no cage.

matt made it home from navy work around 4 and at 6:30 we headed out for his christmas party.
it was fun and crazy.
they had karaoke and dance contests and gave away a ton of prizes, none of which were won by us. :(
it was a masquerade theme and they had a fun dj and photo booth.
photo booth fun.
since they gave prizes all night we waited till after 11 to leave which meant that we got home around midnight. i fed delaney and then off to bed for me.
i am so grateful that the big kids, really alexis, took such good care of the girls.
the house was a mess, but you know.
and she earned a ton of money to put towards her drivers ed, so win-win.

sunday morning dawned bright and early at 6:30 (for me only), which is an hour later than i usually wake up, so i guess i really should be thankful. i got myself all showered and ready, bags ready, big kids up, and then woke up the girls.
this was addie.
silly girl.
and we actually made it on time for our first week of 9am church, yay. :)

and then we got home from church at 1, which felt so weird.
we played some games and the kids ate some ramen, cause we're sup-ah healthy.
we headed over to mccombs around 4 to celebrate colleen's birthday some more.
laura made a yummy ham with all the fixings.
none of which lexi would eat.
oh that girl.
matt met us there after work, we visited, chelsea braided our hair, it was great.
we came home and my heart was so full.
we are so blessed with good friends and good kids.

delaney has a new favorite spot.
she stands on top of matt's christmas gift (that is still sitting in my family room) and plays on the couch, climbs up and down, takes toys on top of it, it's great.
she bothered bubba all night while he was reading.
precious.
today was our kids day out at shelly's house.
i didn't really have a plan, so i vacuumed the house, cause for some reason that's hard for me to do with kids around. like, they all hate it, but they want to be right there with me while i'm doing it.
good stuff.

i picked addie up from school, picked christian up from baseball conditioning, "pitched" 3 buckets of balls to him, fed delaney and little girls snacks (chocolate "cagrola"((granola)) bar for addie), then dropped lex off at cheer. i took little miss frankly frog with me and she loved riding in her carseat in the little green car. she was being pretty funny, even though this is blurry.
can you say crazy hair???
chris made grilled cheese and tomato soup for dinner, laura came over, we picked lex up from cheer, watched biggest loser... good-good day.
(christian was saying "good-good" for everything awhile back. as in "pass me that good-good sauce," or "can i get a piece of that good-good gum?" and we all (missionaries and our family) laughed and made fun of him. it's all good-good.)
