a couple weeks ago matt's company had their annual blue crabs night at the baseball stadium. i made a tough decision that night. i let the big kids stay home. :( matt had been off all day (his cws friday ((compressed work schedule)) and we'd had such a nice day. and the kids started in immediately with their "we don't want to go!"'s and i just wanted everyone to be happy. so i left them a list of chores and told them i really wished they would come. i wish there was a way to know if you did the right thing! oh well. i told them they weren't getting out of all family outings, but for this one i was willing to compromise. ugh, this parenting thing!
anyways, we had a good time at the game. except for the exhausting, chasing 2 toddlers part. but that's fun too. addie has the most expressive faces. love 'em!

can you guess who hated them? yup, the little plaid pants that's running away. she was fascinated, but terrified!
the company pays for a wrist band for all the kids to play all they want but the play area was so crowded! anyways, addie set her sights on this big blow-up slide, so we waited and waited and waited. i wasn't even sure she would climb up all by herself, but she did it! my big girl!
as soon as she finished, she wanted to get in line again but we convinced her to take frankie in the bouncy house. wellll, franks lasted about 10 seconds in there, but addie had fun.
then she convinced me to take her back to the big slide, and matt offered to take frankie up too, so who am i to say no?
we stayed till about 9:00 and then went home to our big kids. 7/10 of the chores i left them were done. siiiiiigh.
at least the game was fun!
(oh, and i realized that addie wore that exact same dress to the game last year! maybe next year we can go for 3 in a row? ;)
