mom's day out

i've been wanting to get a mom's day out swap going for awhile and after thinking about it for-eva, i finally decided to go for it.
(three weeks ago, okay?)
i sent out an email and got a good response. i figured i would have around 10 kids (including my own 2 little ones) so i arranged for another helper mom to come over. then on the day of, i realized that i totally mis-communicated and that i would have no helper!
it was crazy but i did it! and i had fun too. :)

i had a schedule all planned out. friends started coming over just after 8:00.
first it was playtime while we waited for everyone to arrive.
then we had some snacks.
when things got hairy, (only 2-3 times and mostly because frankie wouldn't let me put her down!) i turned on the tv.
then more playtime.
next was storytime. can you see frankie's head there? could. not. put. her. down.
i wanted to read little cloud and then let them do a little cloud craft with blue construction paper and cotton balls, but i realized an hour before everyone showed up that we didn't have any cotton balls!
frankie had to lay down for a nap (=scream in her crib) while i made lunch and let the kiddos watch a few more minutes of tv.
they had grilled cheese, grapes and graham crackers. and they ate a ton!
then more playtime, complete with a full-on dress-up party.
our last friends left at 1:30.
this was the aftermath.
i layed addie and frankie down and cleaned up.
and planned the next mom's day out.
10 kids by myself?
bring it!
(but not really, i'll make sure to line up help next time! ;)

Such cute pictures of all the kids. Thanks for sharing! I'm thinking that you need to line up for YOUR turn to have a day off girl!!
