We came home on the 2nd (I think). We hit traffic on our way down, so we decided to do a night drive home. That day before we left, the grown ups went for a walk until Lu got too uncomfortable, and then we headed out around 5. It was a super easy drive and we chatted the whole way and made it home just after midnight.
I knew Joni had been in town so i checked in with her to see if they were coming down again or if we could meet them somewhere. Matt, Delaney, and I went grocery shopping and made plans with Joni to meet them for dinner at Yummys.
We picked up the rest of our crew and met them for a delicious dinner! Matt got their ramen burger and it was so good!
The kids were a little awkward. 🤣
But we loved catching up with Joni and David.
They told us all about Hawaii and gave us some ideas. And we laughed about making sure we crop our pictures so it’s just waist up, you know what I mean.
We talked about visiting them in Idaho and going out on their lake. We’re gonna have to make that happen.
Because he was around. 🤷♀️
There were snow flurries while we ate and it was cold cold cold, but we still made the kids pose for one last shot. We miss their family!!!
We had a lovey restful weekend and then on Monday we got snow and a day off! It was a lovely continuation of our Christmas break.
The girls played on and off and it was so pretty.
Adi and Frankie went out too. 🤣
Haha.
I made homemade King Cakes and Frankie got the baby again!
I swear she gets him every year. Lucky lady!
We had snow days Tuesday and Wednesday and then late starts Thursday and Friday, so Matt got a whole week off seminary.
It was lovely because we were able to work together to take down all of Christmas and decorate for Valentine’s Day early since I’ll be gone.
It feels like it’s been a really long time since we had a good snow, so we loved it.
Adi got the second baby. Good luck all around.
We relaxed and regrouped, took walks and watched movies, and Wednesday night we went to church for their yearly parent and youth orientation meeting. Because school was cancelled, ballet was too so Delaney got to come with us.
I also had a presidency meeting and we had the sisters over for dinner and the girls did virtual piano and that’s all I can remember. 🤗
