homecoming game

spirit day!
they made these shirts in foundations of technology and got extra credit for wearing them today.
the hair and face paint were done for no extra credit.
chris, he's so hot right now.
chris.
we met up with mccombs, darrows, and davis' at the game for some raider nation lovin'.
unfortunately, the winning streak officially ended tonight.
24-45.
but the cheerleaders were cute and the company good.
even when some of the cheer/company pouted because they were super over-tired.
some of the company was just plain goofy.
and some just plain sweet.
and a bonus shot of wilma the cute little witch.
ps - we were running late this morning so i didn't take a pic of lex and chris leaving for seminary/school together but i asked/threatened them to take a pic for me and send it to me which lexi claims she did but i've not yet received.
harumph.

5

4 cheerleaders and a boy.

stuff

*addie says nee-hah! instead of yee-hah! and i just love it and can't bring myself to correct her.

*she also told me an elaborate story about school today wherein "skeve" took her string cheese out of her backpack and "gobbled it up." sounded to me like they had read a story about it, so i asked her, what was the girl in the stories name, the one who's cheese got taken. "addison marie." fact or fiction, we talked about how it's always nice to share your snack with those that don't have one. skeve's or not. ;)

*i love clean babies.
*i also love playaways. books on tape, you just plug in your headphones and you're good to go. you can adjust volume, speed, chapters, etc. great for exercising! now i just need to get back into my routine and i'll be good to go.
*i hate messy papers all over the fridge.
*addie does "homework" all.the.time and she likes to put them on the fridge.
*so i got an idea from a neighbor to put cork boards going down the stairs going into the basement. so then i set out to find 6 reasonably priced, cute cork boards, and i'll tell ya, it's not easy. so then i got the bright idea to make them. and i'm just not very crafty. i'm finally in the finishing stages of cleaning off gorilla glue (ugh) and measuring, leveling, and hanging them (double ugh).
then i'm going to print every one's name in vinyl and put it above their cork board.
can't wait for them to be done!
*matt finished another class tonight. one more class to go and he's half way done with his masters, hooray!

*no spirit week pics today. it was "city day" (lame-o) so the freshman had new orleans, how do you dress for that? christian wore some beads... ugh. the juniors had honalulu, easy peasy grass skirt and lei - done.

*lexi's ankle still hurts, she's still limping, and she's not going to be able to participate in the homecoming pep rally and game performance. she's super bummed (so am i) but trying to have a good attitude about it.

*love family fun magazine!
*we got crafty this afternoon and made some cute pink owls.
*we also bathed, put halloween up, cleaned, read books, and all the rest of the fun.

muggy wednesday

it's been so hot and humid and icky lately!
helllllo mother nature, it's october.

anyhizzle, today was wacky tacky day.
they look pretty wacky and pretty tacky to me.
(yesterday was character day and we had a superman cape, a honey badger, and no pictures)

then my 3 little girls and i hit up gymnastics at 10:30. franks then adds. they worked on balancing on the beam.
before gymnastics frankie was talking about walking on the beam and addie said
"and will you have your arms out?" such a little coach.
pretty cute stuff.
frankie can barely pose for pictures anymore because she always wants to move her head around and see the picture.
example:
from gymnastics we dropped addie off at school and went straight to colleens to work on vt stuff. we came home for 15 minutes and i tried to get laney to sleep. when that proved unsuccessful we took this picture. this is one thing laney and i do all day. she tries to crawl off the bed, couch, whatever we're on, and i keep ahold of her ankle. or cankle, ifyouwill.
and we will.
we picked addie up, ate some leftovers, and were off to baseball night at 5.
we have a little friend at baseball. she's 10 and she loooooves the little girls and "helps" me all the time. ;) she's really a sweet girl and after i took this picture of frankie she just had to get one of the 4 of us. so here you go, annika. thanks for the picture.
this baseball fan loves pretzels and vanilla cupcake goldfish.
(but who doesn't love vanilla cupcake goldfish?)
goof.
addie got a war wound from running around. sweet annika held a wipe to stop the bleeding while addie milked her injury for all it was worth.
8 o'clock at night in october.
we shouldn't look like this (sweaty and frizzy) because it shouldn't be this hot.

his famous bunt.
he's doing really well, he got on base twice, and the blue st. marys co. fall ball team tied again.
meanwhile, alexis and peter went to a combined activity at the church where they had a fun time carving pumpkins.
the whole crew and the finished products.
meanwhile meanwhile, matt ran a succesful pack meeting. he's also been doing push ups and sit ups every night. he's so fast he's a blur. ;)
and that's a busy ray muggy wednesday.

list-o-mania

my love of lists and more specifically crossing things off of lists is kind of taking over my life.
gonna try to 86 'em for awhile.
wish me luck.

it's spirit week!
*teen photo dodge, 6am style
and after a little coaxing.
st mary's county day = camo gear.
aaaand christian.
great pic, right?!
to escape my list crossing prison, we hit the library for story time.
laney's always a hot commodity.
poor baby.
then we hit the park with little miss-sassy-pants.
the library and park were completely empty.
might have to make monday our regular library day.
matt had to run to the scout shop up in dc, so he took frankie with him for an adventure.
and i got to hang out with little miss-nerdy-girl.
who was brushing her long luxurious locks.

as i was making dinner i got a call from lexi that she had twisted her ankle and i needed to come get her. as we were leaving she was telling me that i needed to carry her, so, much to her delight (not really) i asked one of the football players to help us out.
and then to add the cherry, i took a pic.
(and more pics of lexi, check!)
after dinner and fhe with the missionaries we were off to the er for x-rays.
lexi had asked me to put her bed down, but every time i tried it went up further. i finally had to ask someone to help. her instructions "you have to put all your weight down on this dumb little lever." that's what i was missing, i was only putting half my weight on it. ;)
we were kind of there for awhile. sistah was fully asleep.
thankfully it's just a sprain and she could still participate in the homecoming performance on friday if she's up for it.
and this morning i'm waking up to this. :(

good thing there's nothing else on my list for today.
