delaney loved her card from auntie alli. came with a sofia crown and all! she so fancy!

yesterday we went to the bates for a neighborhood playgroup. there is a new lady in the neighborhood that has organized tons of mommish/playgroupy stuff. this is the first event we've made it to and it was really fun. met some new neighbors and everything was decorated cutely for valentines. :)

chris came home all excited to show me that he'd been chosen as student of the month for dentistry. he was joking about how he was going to wear his special button every day and i asked when he'd get his special ceremony and picture with the principal. ;)

francy-nancy worked on her valentines. all she had to do was write "love, frankie" and she took sooooo long. sistah is destractable!

chris is celebrating that he can now officially drive other people. he's had his license for 5 months and he's soooo excited for this new adventure. he picked brenna up from conditioning and they made ikea meatballs and gravy, the gravy was from scratch. i also taught them to make yummy mashed potatoes. then they headed to a combined activity at an old folks home and i went to a days. we are planning a big service project for friday night, so it was busy and fun.

as i was googling it that night, i heard frankie crying. poor baby got so sick! she threw up in her bedroom and got vomit everywhere - definitely one of the worst, if not the worst throw-up messes i've ever seen. i got in the shower with her, and by the time we were done she'd already thrown up again. :( she threw up every 20-30 minutes from 9:30-7:00. it was fast and furious! matt and i had a routine down - she'd start throwing up, he'd grab her bowl and get her started, i'd turn the light on and come and hold her, then he'd clean the bowl while i cleaned her face and laid her back down. and repeat. this morning after we put addie on the bus, she finally slept.

she's such a wiggly sleeper! more than once today she made her way onto the floor. :)

she felt sick and laid on the couch all day. bless her heart! i hate when kids are sick!

after laney's nap we decided to get dressed. :) she was being playful and naked with our valentine shades. such a sweetie.

it was a long night and a long sleepy day and we are praying no one else gets sick and that all the valentine festivities this weekend go off without a hitch.
