on saturday (1/31) addie's daisy troop participated in a winter walk and campfire at a girl scout camp. it was a cold, cold day and there was a biting wind. the crew bundled and layered and matt said they stayed nice and cozy.
i really wanted to go, but as is often the case, there were other things i had to do. (i made cookies to take to charlie's baptism, did the weekly shopping, and then had to make sure i was at the baptism on time ((and not smelling like campfire)) to give the closing prayer) so i sent my wonderful husband to take the ads.
i definitely consider myself lucky that i have a husband that is totally willing to go hang out with the girl scouts and their mama's all afternoon. i'm quite certain he was in the major minority as a man there, and he was happy to go. (they also needed someone first aid certified, so my eagle scout fit that bill too:)
i love this picture. teaching the girls some of his mad outdoorsman skillz.
our daisy leader said he was great to have around and so good with the girls.
