today

some days around here are like grand central station. delaney's birthday was like that. so was today. we are so blessed to have such full lives! we watched these cuties today. their grandparents dropped them off and we visited. i think there is a reason i was blessed with 4 girls, boys are a handful! we played and played. laura came over to bring some treats. then becky came to drop off pta money. colleen came by to return a movie.  then after we dropped frankie at the bus, miss sum (neighbors au pair) brought chloe over to play. it was a nice morning, it's always good to chit chat with good friends.

tonight was yellow door art studio for our daisies, and siblings were invited, so i took addie and frankie at 5. bubba got to stay with his favorite (for today) sister.

they worked on using recycled art materials. addie was totally in her element. she sat down and was like "i'm all over this!"

miss carrie does such a good job with the kids. that being said, i just barely got rid of some of their larger art pieces from their summer art camp last summer. this parenting of artists business is new to me!

addie's really liking daisies this year. she even told me tonight that she'd like to continue with brownies. frankie will be in kindergarten next year, which means she can be a daisy. we shall see if that will work. i'm not convinced yet.

addie's hands were completely covered in paint! like she was wearing paint gloves. #artgirlprobz

frankie walked in and sat right down. she traded pieces with the girl next to her and just was generally easy going. addie walked all the way around the table, looking to find a piece she liked, and ended up sitting clear on the opposite side. she got right to work and didn't really talk to anyone else until she finished. addie likes to stand to do art, while frankie sits. pretty much complete opposites. love these different personalities.

after our fun art party we had pizza and snacks. unfortunately, i had forgotten about the pizza and we'd inhaled chicken and rice before we left, so we had two dinners tonight. oh well, c'est la vie!

matt took delaney and bubba to church with him. chris was all excited cause they went to the volunteer fire department to see about doing some service for them. he's come home excited the last two weeks of mutual. digging it!
