our first skeletal tower! and we got to climb it, who'da thought that was even possible?
m - 1st skeletal tower, only one with the hand rail on the inside of the stairs
(that was weird!)
s - owned and operated by US fish and wildlife service
(they do such a good job with it! they should most def take on a few more lights)
l - very exciting to climb a skeletal tower and i was very surprised at how spacious it was inside!
(we all were!)
such a stately little lighthouse.
it was cold and blustery outside!
love the door!
(what else is new?!)
look at all that room!
you'd think this view would get old, but no. not yet.
shop to the left, and the road to the light on the right.
we just kind of soaked it all in up top. i know i've said it several times, but october is such a beautiful month and the colors really were gorgeous.
i think this one actually might have been me. maybe not, but i'm thinking i was getting brave by the end of the weekend. takes me awhile to warm up to things.
notice how tall the rail is here. tall enough to make ya feel safe, right?
it was bright up there!
i tried to capture how lovely it was. doesn't even touch it.
(hi laura!)
outside looking in. :)
if there is a seat around, i will find it. i don't mind running around, but standing around really kind of makes me crazy. maybe it's my years of being a cashier? i'd much rather be up and moving!
the store there was having some crazy clearance sales and we all bought a few extra lighthouse passports for half price! stocked!
only one more challenge light!
