after some massive hand washing, we counted out 100 m&m's for frankie to take for the 100th day of school activities tomorrow. can't believe they've already been in school 100 days!
it was a movie/play/pajama all day kinda day. i didn't even go out to the bus stop with addie this morning. what a bad mom! we watched from the window and when we saw the bus she ran out and i watched from the porch. i got a small nap and then a call from a vice principal and that's all i'll say about that. needless to say, i was awake after that.
i made butternut squash soup for dinner and it reminded me of listening to the time travelers wife. the first time i made this soup i was listening to that book for my book list challenge. speaking of which, i am now listening to les miserables. i'm embarrassed to admit that i have never read the book, seen the play, or watched the movie. though i didn't know the story, it's like i've always known the story. that's how the classics are, and it's pretty cool to finally listen to the whole story. (listening to hamlet was like that too, so many classic lines!) les miserables is book #49 of the 100. 2 1/2 years in and i'm almost half way done! trucking!
frankie's cute friend made her this necklace yesterday and she wanted to send daddy a picture of it, since we didn't see him at all yesterday. scout nights are like that. i also found a great deal on tix for christian to go see alexis for spring break, and we got direct flights, double sweet! they are so excited!
it's a cold, cold night, but we are warm and all is well.
