yesterday was our 2nd (or 3rd?) annual neighborhood easter egg hunt. it was supposed to have been last saturday, but it rained. it was so cute and fun!
we tried to get a group picture but... it didn't go too well.
since matt was away with his navy weekend and big kids were in ny, i got to fly solo w/the 3 little girls. addie was confident and went off on her own, i had laney strapped in the bjorn, and franks would go for eggs as long as i pointed each (and every) one out to her.
after about 5 minutes addie came back to me and had only 2 eggs. :)
so we helped her find some more.
i had prepped them beforehand that they could get 12 eggs, the eggs would have treats in them, and we weren't opening any until we got home. they were pretty good about it.
after the egg hunt we stayed at the park for about an hour visiting with the neighbors. it was really cute and fun. events like that make me thankful for my very involved neighbors. ;)
one other cute thing, we've been locking frankie in her room during naps and night time. that's actually not the cute thing though. ;) i actually hate doing that but i feel like it's more safe than her potentially roaming the house since she climbs out of her crib every day. anywho, i had forgotten to lock her door for nap time, so when i went in to wake her up for the easter egg hunt, her door was shut but she was nowhere to be found. i had been downstairs and hadn't seen her, and then i had been upstairs in my room getting ready and hadn't seen or heard her, which never happens (she's a little loud). i started to get a little nervous, but found her happily and quietly playing with addie in her room. then we went and hunted and played at the park and then home to watch the 2nd session of conference. about an hour into conference she got really quiet and this is what i found on the floor next to the couch.
thankfully sweet girl still needs her naps.
and thankfully mommy usually remembers to lock the door. ;)
