*that's what addie calls 'em. :)
we've gone and done it.
we ordered bunk beds and on friday, matt and christian put them together.
these two little girls were so super excited!
they climbed up and down and up and down and...
and then they stayed up playing and climbing and talking and laughing until midnight.
it brought back memories of alexis and christian doing the same darn thing in their bunk beds many years ago.
sigh.
on saturday morning christian and i got up and out nice and early to go take baseball pictures.
someones mom didn't wash their nice baseball pants after a couple of slides on tuesday, so someones mom was glad that someones holy old pants weren't showing.
after, we ran some errands in town and then met up with matt and crew to help clean the church.
although with these 3, not much cleaning went on, at least from chris and i.
and can you tell that daddy got them ready?
addie put back on the dress she'd worn on friday, laney still in her jams, and frankie in the dress i put her in before i left. :)
when she did finally get dressed she looked pretty cute.
lexi is trying to earn money to fix her phone (that she dropped at school without it's case on), so we obliged her babysitting request and went on a lunch date. we went to lowes, texas roadhouse, and sears. yes, yes, we are very romantic. we got our lawn edger though, so mission accomplished.
lexi's friend, beau, works at the roadhouse, so of course i had to call him over and take a pic to send to make lexi jealous. he was a total good sport about it. :) not that all teenage boys wouldn't be happy to sit and take a picture with me and delaney!
sunday morning these two helped me make elves caps for a byd treat.
church was good, especially the rs lesson which was one i totally needed to hear. love that!
we brought home 3 extra kiddos (thankfully i had put enough pork chops in the crockpot that morning!) from church. we had just enough time to eat and then we were off to byd (bishop youth discussion) where we got the new for the strength of the youth pamphlet. they had 5 speakers present different topics from the book and it was really good. the kids all had a good time and listened and were attentive. christian and sam were being super silly and kept volunteering, but at least they were participating.
***bunk bed update
friday night: up late, up early
saturday night: after a terrible nights sleep friday night, and then after frankie crying about sleeping on the bottom bunk, we gave up and put her in her crib where she seemed happy. but then addie cried because she wanted frankie to sleep in the bunks with her. sometimes you can't win for losing!
sunday night: everybody went to bed fine, but around 2am, addie woke up crying (i think she'd sat up and hit her head). she went back down quickly, but little sister, who had gotten woken up by the crying, did not. matt comforted her, but after about an hour we went ahead and laid her down in her crib. we'll keep trying!

That is so funny! It reminds me of when J moved to a bunk bed with her sisters. The first night she lay in bed and cried "I'm tired!" For an hour over and over. I kept telling her I know go to sleep...but I guess she missed the crib :(
