i love decorating for holidays and finding little gems from holidays gone by. when i got out our easter decorations i found this note, handwritten by lexi when we lived in seattle, probably circe 2004.
exactly as written, it says:
Dear the Easter Bony. We are sory that we don't have any carets. We for got. We are so glad that you came to are house to day. Love the Seagrove family.
sounds like one of those great mom moments where you're found unprepared for holiday revelry. kind of like the time at christmas that we didn't have any milk so we left santa a red bull.
sometimes you gotta improvise, right?
(that was a long, long time ago when mama used to drink red bull!)
christian made this in pre-k i think, but darnit, i didn't write the date on it! it looks like it's been through the ringer, but it still proudly hung on our fridge this easter season.
love holidays!
