happy easter!

we had a nice, low key easter. we had told the big kids we would wait until 10 to start the easter festivities. i woke both of them before we set the girls loose and both decided to sleep in. so matt, i mean the easter bunny, hid the eggs, and i got the baskets and dresses ready. as soon as the girls saw their baskets, they didn't really care about the eggs.

"what? you want me to leave my candy? okay, let me stuff a little more in my chipmunk cheeks."

i told them they could pick one candy before the egg hunt so of course this smart girl picked the cadbury egg. always pick the biggest one, adds!

"really mom? do i have to find the eggs? can't i just sit with my candy?"

she finally warmed up to the hunting.

and we were actually all ready for church with a few minutes to spare! of course, my big cameras battery had died, so i had to take all of easter on my phone.

oopsie. 

it was really bright...

church was good. frankie fell asleep on the drive and then actually slept through half of sacrament meeting, so we actually got to listen a little more than usual. for dinner we had ham, creamed corn, funeral potatos, croissants, fruit salad, and of course deviled eggs. it was yummy!

i am so thankful that i know that Jesus lived. i'm thankful to know that He died for us. and i am so very thankful to know that He lives again.
