Seattle Spring Break

We woke up at 2:30am Friday and left for the airport by 3:10. We flew from BWI to San Diego, which was 5 hours but actually went by semi quickly. I slept the first 2 hours which I love. I also love the Maryland plane we saw once we landed in California!

I sent Autumn this picture because we were so close to their house! Too bad we didn’t even got off the plane.

Jackie sent this today and it really is what girls trip planning with them feels like.

Anyhow, we’re pretty sure Southwest dropped an extra stop on our trip because we were super surprised to find we had 2 stops, and talking to another friend we made (who also happens to be a Dr. member of the church) he was also surprised. So quick stop in San Diego then 2 hours in Sacramento where we got lunch from the food court.

Our flights were all almost full, but we managed to keep our middle seat free for our short flight to Sacramento.

Grandpa picked us up and we got settled at Mike and Cami’s. Matt had asked if I’d be up for a temple trip that night and while I’m always up for the temple it felt a little weird after a full day of travel. But he said he had something planned, so off to our temple we went.

Then after, we walked over to the stake center where we met. ❤️ They were having a singles activity so that’s why he wanted to go to the temple Friday night. We danced in the foyer to commemorate that special night 20 years ago.

On Saturday we went adventuring in Seattle.

We parked by a downtown many storied Target and went in search of a restroom and of course these country bumpkins loved the cart escalator.

It’s cold here but it was clear and dry and so beautiful.

The girls didn’t remember much, but they did remember the gum wall. Delaney proudly deposited her addition to the wall. She also brought gum for each of us if we wanted to add some. We did not.

Pretty disgusting actually. Surprisingly it doesn’t smell bad.

We stopped by Pike Place fish and I was hoping they would scare the girls by pulling that big fish. But no luck.

They recognized this from my dads pictures and were like oh!

We checked out the stalls and the first Starbucks that had a line out the door and down the street.

We just love fishermen.

We rode the wheel.

We got on and got stopped about 3/4 of the way to the top for them to reload and 3/5 of us regretted our decision to ride. Adi smiling through her fear. 🤣
Now we’ve done National Harbor, London, and Seattle Wheels.

Takes you right over the water. 😬

We really love a good fisherman.

We shopped around and Adi found a fun Grey’s Anatomy sweatshirt and I sent this to Alexis

Seattle adventure day to be continued.
