Puget Sound.
They’ve changed so much downtown, they even took out the viaduct.
It was getting to be lunchtime, so I got myself a Seattle dog with cream cheese and grilled onion and peppers - my favorite! I used to keep the bigs home from school and go to a cheap Mariners game and get a delicious Seattle dog outside the gates.
Frankie and Delaney got fish and chips and Matt enjoyed smoked salmon tacos.
Adi held out for a biscuit, apparently giant biscuits are all the rage here.
Yum.
We checked out Ye Old Curiosity Shop and enjoyed a beautiful sunny Seattle day.
She said the biscuit was good but since she makes a darn good biscuit she can be critical.
Frankie and Adi walked to a Sephora and Delaney played at a mini park.
We came home and I was so sleepy because we’d stayed up talking to Mike and Cami way late so I laid down and then Matt and I had a misunderstanding and so they all went to the adult session of stake conference without me. 😔 I was sad and upset but decided to make the best of it with one of my favorite things - going to the movies. We stopped by our old apartment and sent this shot to Lu and bubba. Ours was the top apartment on the right. ❤️
We checked out the kids school and it feels so strange to be in this place that used to be home.
We went to grandpas ward on Sunday and Matt was surprised how many people he still knew. The RS lesson was excellent and I took some notes for our RS’s.
It’s always a good time for Henry love!
We visited at grandpas house after church. The girls were bored out of their gourds, and I talked to them about how visiting grandparents isn’t always the most fun.
Grandpa wore his Maryland tie in our honor. Apparently it was a gift from us. We’re v thoughtful. (And forgetful)
We haven’t seen uncle Ken in a hot minute. He gave the girls art lessons back in the day, and they’re kind of hoping for another.
And finally, yours truly. My hair is not used to Seattle water and with curly hair you just never know what you’re gonna get.
We went back to Mike and Cami’s for lunch and visiting. Mike made chicken and we helped with some fixings and Cami went to a meeting and grandpa and Ken brought brownies and ribs and we had a delicious meal. We played with Scuba and watched 60 Minutes and then we were all suh tired. We love spending time with family!
